Thursday
John Mazz Live, featuring original music and covers, is playing from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3 on the patio at Dominick’s Restaurant, 1301 Winter Springs Blvd. in Winter Springs. Get more information.

See the play “Indecent” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3 at the UCF School of Performing Arts, 12488 Centarus Blvd., Orlando. The play is “based on the true events surrounding the play ‘God of Vengeance’ by Sholem Asch, where the producer and cast were arrested and convicted for obscenity for showing love between two women on stage.” Get more information.

The City of Oviedo’s grand opening event for the newly constructed Solary Park is from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4 at Solary Park, 239 Geneva Drive in Oviedo. Food and drinks will be available. Get more information.

Jackson Heights Middle School’s Bobcat 5K run is from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5 at JHMS, 141 Academy Ave., Oviedo. Walkers are welcomed. Get more information.
Rise and Grind is hosting a free youth boxing class at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5 at 379 E. Broadway St., Oviedo. It’s a 45-minute class for ages 8-15. Get more information.
Live music, more than 60 local vendors selling crafts, plants, and fresh produce and ready-to-eat food will be at the Oviedo Farmers Market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5 at the Lawton House, 200 W. Broadway St. in Oviedo. Pets are welcomed. Tours of the Lawton House are available during market hours. Get more information.
There will be a Live Reading with Meet & Greet with Children’s Author Charlie Griffin during the Oviedo Farmers Market from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5 at the Lawton House, 200 W. Broadway St. in Oviedo. Griffin is a local author who wrote “Indy and Jenny”. Get more information.

Make Valentine’s Day cards, have a picnic and visit with farm animals at a Green Acres Farm of Oviedo event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6 at 1700 Marsh St. in Oviedo. The cost to attend is a donation of any amount. Get more information.
Future events
The City of Winter Springs Father Daughter Dance is from 7-9 p.m. Feb. 11 at the Winter Springs Senior Center, 400 N. Edgemon Ave. in Winter Springs. Tickets for residents are free and include a live DJ, a photo by a professional photographer, refreshments and prizes. Tickets for nonresidents cost $10 per couple and $5 for additional children. The City of Oviedo’s Father-Daughter Dance is from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12 at the Oviedo Cultural Center, 357 Center Lake Lane, Oviedo. There will be a live DJ and dancing and a dinner and dessert buffet menu by Dominick’s restaurant. Tickets are $40 per couple and $10 for additional children. Get more information.
