Costume run, anyone? Come out and try to win something in Oviedo, or how about spooky Halloween trivia in Winter Springs?

Spooky season is in full swing this weekend for Halloween. Plus, there are plenty of other events, including live music, high school football and a Beauty Brunch. Get out and celebrate this weekend. 

Thursday 

Enjoy a beer pairing dinner from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Marlow’s Tavern, 352 Mike Roberto Way, in Oviedo. This dinner will feature four courses and costs $80. Learn more

Dress in your best costume for the Irish 3.1 Run Club’s annual Halloween Costume Run at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26 at Irish 31, 65 W. Mitchell Hammock Road. Enjoy a plethora of food at the City of Oviedo’s Food Truck Thursday  from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26 at Center Lake Park, 299 Center Lake Lane, in Oviedo. The participating food trucks include 503 Latin Fusion, Amish Pretzel Shop and Rosario’s Kitchen.

Participate in “adult trick or treating” at Sip or Treat from 5:30-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27 at Oviedo Mall, 1700 Oviedo Mall Blvd. in Oviedo. Walk throughout the mall with a drink, wear costumes, take spooky pictures and more! Photo ID is required at check-in for attendees 21 or older to receive a wristband for beer or wine. Get in your steps at the Central Florida Freethought Community hike at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 along The Florida Trail, starting at the Barr Street Trailhead, 951 Barr St., in Oviedo. The 2.5-hour, 6-mile hike will loop from Barr Street to the Flagler Trailhead and back. Participants are asked to arrive at 7:45 a.m. Admission to the Little Big Econ State Forest costs $1.99. Get into the fall spirit at the Harvest Festival and Community Garden Day from 9-12 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 at First United Methodist Church of Oviedo, 275 King St. There will be games and crafts for people of all ages. Learn more.

HCA Florida Healthcare is hosting its Crush the Crisis prescription-drug-take-back day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 at Oviedo Medical Center, 8300 Red Bug Lake Road. The event aims to raise awareness about the dangers of prescription drug misuse and the importance of safe and proper disposal of unused or expired medication. Learn more

Take part in four rounds of live pub-style trivia with the Five Minute Professor from 7-9 p.m. every Monday at Rock & Brews, 7131 Red Bug Lake Road in Oviedo. Questions cover topics such as history, geography, pop music, TV shows, science, nature, movie stars and space travel. Prizes are given every week, and a raffle takes place the last Monday of every month. Enjoy happy hour before and after trivia.

The above pub-style trivia with the Five Minute Professor also takes place from 7-9 p.m. every Wednesday at Gators Dockside, 167 E. Mitchell Hammock Road in Oviedo. Foster healthy living habits and youth development with Homeschool Physical Education for kids ages 5-17 from 3-4 p.m. every Monday through until Nov. 27 at the YMCA Family Center, 7900 Red Bug Lake Road in Oviedo. Run through Oviedo’s historic downtown every Tuesday night with Oviedo Run Club. Most folks who attend this casual, social run start the run just before 6 p.m. Participants start in the parking lot of Oviedo’s Historic Celery Pre-cooler, located at 159 N. Central Ave. and run the distance of their choice along the Cross Seminole Trail. New members get a free T-shirt. Learn more

Join Oviedo Brewing Run Club’s Tuesday night run from 6:30-10 p.m. at 1280 Oviedo Mall Blvd. Participants gather at the front of Oviedo Brewing Company every Tuesday evening and start the run at 6:30 p.m.
