A message from our founding team
Oviedo Community News asks people about their information needs in order to create impactful, public-service journalism that people can use to make better informed decisions in their daily lives. Although we’ll never charge for the news, it does cost money to produce. We rely on generous reader donations so that those who can’t pay can always have access. We could not do this work without you!
We’ve created different membership levels so that anyone can become a member. From one-time gifts to monthly donations to our major donor program, anyone can help bolster this important work in the community.

Is your website secure?
All payments are processed through Stripe. Stripe is a PCI Service Provider Level 1, which is the highest grade of payment processing security. All credit card information is encrypted, sent directly to Stripe and is never sent to our website server. This means that we are PCI compliant and any breach of our website won’t result in stolen credit card information. Learn more here.
Will my contribution be considered a charitable donation for tax purposes?
Yes! Oviedo Community News is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and your contributions or gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Our tax ID is 85-4381643.
