Easter egg hunts, Taste of Oviedo and a spring festival 

One hunt has been postponed to next week due to expected bad weather but three more are on the way, plus one of Oviedo’s biggest events.

Three Easter egg hunts, and find plenty more Easter and event-filled fun this weekend. 

Thursday

Bring your instruments and yoga mats for a preschool music and movement class from 10-10:40 a.m. Thursday, March 21 at Winter Springs Performing Arts, 1425 Tuskawilla Road. This class costs $12 per family and is recommended for children 5 years old and younger. Learn more

Get inspired to create a work of art when you sip coffee and paint a canvas from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 21 at CFS Coffee, 222 E. Mitchell Hammock Road, Suite 1000 in Oviedo. The entry fee costs $30 and includes the painting supplies and a cup of Colombian coffee. Learn more.

Dress your best and meet the cast during a red carpet film screening of the independent movie “I Win.” The event is filled with treats and drinks from 6-10 p.m. Thursday, March 21 at StudioLot Orlando, 1210 Oviedo Mall Blvd. General admission costs $20. Learn more.

Enjoy an evening of laughter with the Diamond in the Rough live improv comedy show at 7 p.m. Friday, March 22 at Imagine Performing Arts Center, 1220 Oviedo Mall Blvd. Tickets cost $10. Learn more.

Watch this month’s Sunshine Dance with themed performances from 7-9 p.m. Friday, March 22 at the Oviedo YMCA, 7900 Red Bug Lake Road. The evening event offers food, music, and entertainment for the special needs community. Central Florida Sunshine Optimist Club meets at 6 p.m. prior to the event. Entry costs $2 per person. Easter egg hunt

Let your pets sniff around during a pawesome Easter egg hunt catered to them all day Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24 at Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Oviedo, 1799 E. Broadway St. They could find free treats and services. Learn more.

Bring your kids to participate in the annual egg hunt at the O2B Easter Eggstravaganza event from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, March 23 at O2B Kids Oviedo, 1175 Oviedo Mall Blvd. The event will have free entry for O2B kids members and a $15 entrance cost for non-members. The egg hunt fun is for ages 13 and younger. Learn more.

Easter egg hunt

Enjoy guaranteed prizes for your kiddos at the Spring Festival & Easter Egg Hunt from noon-4 p.m. Sunday, March 24 at Green Acres Farm of Oviedo/Geneva, 1700 Marsh Street in Oviedo. Tickets cost $15 per child and cost $7 per adult. There are other fun activities available as well like a $10 pony ride. Learn more.

Future events

Bring your own basket and hunt for glow-in-the-dark eggs at the park-wide Egg-citing Egg Hunt which, due to expected inclement weather Friday, March 22, has been moved to 4:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday, March 30 at Central Winds Park, 1000 Central Winds Drive in Winter Springs. Ages 5 and older can hunt for the glow eggs at night, and ages 2-12 are permitted for daytime activities. Registration is required and many spots are already fully booked. Learn more

Grab your rods for Fish Winter Springs. Registration opens at 10 a.m. Monday, March 25 for the event which is from 8-10 a.m. Saturday, May 4 and Saturday, May 11 at Central Winds Park, 1000 Central Winds Drive. This line-casting fun is for children ages 5-12 and costs $5 for Winter Springs residents and $10 for non-residents. All kids entered will receive a free fishing pole. Learn more.

Try different movements and poses throughout a week of free trial classes from Monday, March 25 through Saturday, March 30 at Zen Space Wellness Studios, 1945 W. CR 419, Suite 1111 in Oviedo. Times and classes vary online. Learn more.

Register for an eight-week Tai Chi Series every Thursday starting March 28 from 6-7 p.m. at Our Suite Village, 1750 W. Broadway St., Suite 112 in Oviedo. The classes are limited to 10 students and the $96 cost must be paid in advance to reserve a spot. Learn more

Take a break from winter events with a run through Oviedo’s historic downtown every Tuesday night with Oviedo Run Club. Most folks who attend this casual social run start the run just before 6 p.m. Participants start in the parking lot of Oviedo’s Historic Celery Pre-cooler, located at 159 N. Central Ave. and run the distance of their choice along the Cross Seminole Trail. New members get a free T-shirt. Learn more.
