Goodwill Food Drive Collects More Than 8,000 Pounds of Donations

This June, Goodwill Industries of Central Florida held a summer food drive for Annabel’s Closet, a nonprofit that supports survivors of domestic abuse. People in Seminole and Orange counties donated more than 8,000 pounds worth of nonperishables.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Goodwill Industries of Central Florida is celebrating a massive turnout for its annual summer food drive. This June, the nonprofit teamed up with WFTV 9 Family Connection to collect nonperishable food items for Annabel’s Closet. The Seminole County organization provides furniture and other household essentials to survivors of domestic abuse. Members of the community donated more than 8,000 pounds worth of food which will benefit around 2,000 people.
