Orlando Ballet’s Annual Ballet Ball Reaches New Heights, Surpassing $1 Million Raised

Orlando Ballet’s annual Ballet Ball, held Saturday April 18, 2026, at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort, became the most successful gala in the organization’s history, raising $1.14 million. The milestone fundraiser also welcomed its highest number of attendees to date, with 500 guests in attendance, up from 450 the prior year, drawing Central Florida’s most passionate arts advocates, philanthropists and community leaders for an unforgettable night of dance, dining and generosity.

Seminole State College of Florida proudly celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Robert and Jane Lee Campus at Oviedo, marking a quarter century of growth, innovation and student success in eastern Seminole County. Since opening its doors in 2001, the Oviedo campus has embodied a distinctive blend of Old Florida natural beauty and forward-looking academic opportunity. The campus was renamed the Robert and Jane Lee Campus at Oviedo in 2018 to honor fourth-generation Oviedoans who contributed significantly to the College through the Foundation for Seminole State College. The Lee family's legacy of generosity established a scholarship that provides full tuition for two years to students from the Oviedo area.

FSRA Central Florida District Championship Regatta is coming soon

The FSRA Central Florida District Championship Regatta is coming to Lake Minneola Waterfront Park in Clermont on Saturday, March 28, with racing beginning at 7:30 a.m. Hosted by the Lake County Rowing Association, this premier high school rowing event will feature Central Florida’s fastest crews competing throughout the day. Spectators are invited to enjoy exciting on-the-water racing in a beautiful lakeside setting. Admission is free, and the community is encouraged to come out all weekend. In addition to Saturday’s regatta, Sunday continues the action with more racing, including the Jake Snyder Regatta. Make it a full weekend by enjoying the nearby Pig on the Pond Festival, featuring food trucks, rides, games, and family-friendly entertainment. Bring your family, lawn chairs, and enjoy a great weekend of competition and community on the Clermont waterfront.

Mister Rogers' Neighborhood Walking Tour launches Monday, March 2nd at Rollins College in celebration of what would have been the iconic champion of children’s 98th birthday (March 20). Rollins College will again honor its most famous alumnus with a self-guided campus walking tour of memorabilia from March 2-31, Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. An audio tour is available to download and listen as you visit the 5 stops on this free, self-guided tour. Earphones are recommended for indoor areas.
