
A 15-court pickleball facility and 2,000+ square-foot event venue with a top-floor view of Lake Jesup may be on the way after the Winter Springs City Commission voted unanimously on July 13 to proceed with design and cost projections.
The facility would transform a grass field on the west end of Central Winds Park, between the dog park and the lake. Concerns including “pickleball noise” and a too-small venue dominated discussions, though a handful of residents stood up to speak in favor of having more courts for the fast-growing sport.
