Catch more than a half a dozen food trucks at Oviedo’s Food Truck Thursday event, happening from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, March 31 at Center Lake Park, 299 Center Lake Lane in Oviedo. The following food trucks are expected to attend: Nonni’s Minis, Gran Arepa, Brock’s BBQ, Jersey Family Grill, App’s Food Truck, Asian Bros Food Truck, Artisan Experience, and Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream. The band Ten Strings will play live from 7-10 p.m. Thursday, March 31 at Spill Wine Bar, 1196 Tree Swallow Drive #1314 in Winter Springs. Get more information.


Enjoy free wine and cheese while you shop from 5:30-8 p.m. Friday, April 1 at The Old Red Barn of Geneva, 2993 W. Osceola Road in Geneva. The Who’s Cookin’ food truck will also be there. Get more information.


The Improving Oviedo Neighborhoods advisory committee is is hosting a spring cleanup event from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 2 at Refreshing Springs Primitive Baptist Church, 291 Denis Street in Oviedo. Live music and performances, as well as more than 60 local vendors selling crafts, plants, and fresh produce and ready-to-eat food will be at the Oviedo Farmers Market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 2 at the Lawton House, 200 W. Get splashed with color at University Carillon United Methodist Church’s Jelly Bean Jog color run event from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 2 at 1395 Campus View Court in Oviedo. There will be free food, games and kids’ activities. Get more information.

Rise and Grind is hosting a free youth boxing class at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 2 at 379 E. Broadway Street, Oviedo. It’s a 45-minute class for ages 8-15. Get more information.


Southern rockers The Winters Brothers Band will perform live from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, April 3 at Dominick’s Restaurant, 1301 Winter Springs Blvd. in Winter Springs. Call Dominick’s Restaurant to make reservations: 407-366-3375. The cost is $5. Get more information.

Future events

See a bilingual adaptation of “Romeo and Juliet” titled “Dos Familias” at 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 5 at Penguin Point Productions theater company, 1220 Oviedo Mall Blvd. in Oviedo. Get tickets.

Easter egg hunts, bounce houses, lawn and carnival games and hay rides will be at the River Run Spring Festival, from 2:30-5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 9 at River Run Church, River Run Point in Oviedo. There will also be ice cream and food from Seminole BBQ and Cafe Panuzzo’s. Get more information.

Oviedo’s Egg-Ceptional Family Festival is from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 9 at Center Lake Park, 299 Center Lake Lane in Oviedo. There will be a three-legged race, a potato sack race, an egg-and-spoon race, egg decorating, face painting, coloring stations, activity tables, inflatables, and photos with the Easter Bunny. There will also be a kids’ show by Mr. Harley. Tickets cost $10 and can be purchased here. Adults admission is free. Get more information.

Follow a map to find special Easter treats throughout the Oviedo Mall from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, starting at the entrance of O2B Kids, 1700 Oviedo Mall Blvd. in Oviedo. The Easter Bunny will also be there. Children ages 12 and younger may participate. Get more information.
