Hear live music from Black Canvas and help the Oviedo Boys and Girls Club at the second annual Rockin’ for the Club of Oviedo benefit event, happening from 5-10 p.m. Thursday, April 7 at Oviedo Rock and Brews, 7131 Red Bug Lake Road in Oviedo. Get more information

Celebrate National Beer Day with a beer tasting event from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, April 7 at Spill Wine Bar, 1196 Tree Swallow Drive in Winter Springs. The cost is $10 per person and includes bar snacks and samples. There will be live music by Donnie Lee. Get more information.

The Oviedo Garden Club’s Annual Plant Sale is from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 9 at 15 W. Broadway Street in Oviedo. All of the sale’s proceeds are donated back to schools and organizations that promote gardening. Get more information.

Have pancakes with the community at the Winter Springs Senior Center’s Pancake Breakfast, happening from 8-11 a.m. Saturday, April 9 at 400 N. Edgemon Avenue in Winter Springs. The cost is $6 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the Senior Center. Get more information.

Don’t let kids have all the fun this Easter. The Old Red Barn of Geneva is hosting an adults-only Easter Egg Hunt from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 9 at 2993 W. Osceola Road in Geneva. The eggs will be filled with surprises that range from candy to cash. The Who’s Cookin’ food truck will be there from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Get more information.

Join other car enthusiasts at the Oviedo Cars and Coffee event from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 9 at Rock & Brews, 7131 Red Bug Lake Road, Oviedo. Get more information.

The UCF’s Arboretum Community Day is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 9 at the Arboretum, which is at the UCF main campus, at 4312 Scorpius Street in Orlando. There will be tours of the greenhouse, community farm, and pollinator gardens as well as guided hikes, hands-on workshops and a kids’ craft corner. Get more information.

There will be live music by Kent Hall, corn hole, hayrides and face painting at Big Daddy’s Farm’s community event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 9 at 285 Howard Ave. in Oviedo. Red-Eye’s Git-N-Messy Smokehouse and the Oviedo Brewing Company will be there. Get more information.

Get splashed with color at University Carillon’s Jelly Bean Jog color run event from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 9 at 1395 Campus View Court in Oviedo. There will be free food, games and kids’ activities. This event was rescheduled from last week. Get more information.

Easter egg hunts, bounce houses, lawn and carnival games and hay rides will be at the River Run Spring Festival, from 2:30-5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 9 at River Run Church, River Run Point in Oviedo. There will also be ice cream and food from Seminole BBQ and Cafe Panuzzo’s. Get more information.

Oviedo’s Egg-Ceptional Family Festival is from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 9 at Center Lake Park, 299 Center Lake Lane in Oviedo. There will be a three-legged race, a potato sack race, an egg-and-spoon race, egg decorating, face painting, coloring stations, activity tables, inflatables, and photos with the Easter Bunny. Show off your Jeep at the Oviedo Jeep Club’s third annual Jeep Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 9 at Audio Excellence, 385 W. Mitchell Hammock Rd. Oviedo. There will be free food, raffle prizes, giveaways and more. Get more information.

Future events

Join the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Chapter 400, at its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 12 at the Town House Restaurant, 139 N. Central Ave. in Oviedo. The organization works to assist all veterans as well as combat-wounded veterans who are recipients of the Purple Heart medal. For information, call 407-376-4560.

Follow a map to find special Easter treats throughout the Oviedo Mall from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, starting at the entrance of O2B Kids, 1700 Oviedo Mall Blvd. in Oviedo. The Easter Bunny will also be there. Children ages 12 and younger may participate. Get more information.

Winter Springs’ Spring Egg Hunt is from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 16 at Central Winds Park, 1000 Central Winds Drive in Winter Springs. There’s a big surprise in a special golden egg. Advance registration is required for this free event for incorporated Winter Springs residents (within the city limits). Get more information.

Carnival games, puppet shows, face painting and bounce houses will be at CrossLife Church’s free Easter Egg Hunt, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 16 at CrossLife Church, 45 W. Broadway Street in Oviedo. The age groups for the hunt are 2 to 3 year olds, pre-K and kindergartners, first and second graders and third through fifth graders. Get more information.
