General Election 2024 information

The General Election is on Tuesday, Nov. 5. It will include local municipal candidates, county officials, and runoff candidates from the partisan Primary Election.

Here are the elected seats to expect on your ballot. OCN will update the list, add profile information, interviews and reader-inspired Q&As for the candidates closer to the election. For the candidates whose names are not hyperlinked, OCN could not find a personal webpage.

County officials

  • Seminole County Clerk of the Circuit Court: Current Circuit Clerk Grant Molloy is the only candidate running for this position at this time.
  • Seminole County Property Appraiser: Current Property Appraiser David Johnson is the only candidate running for this position at this time.
  • Seminole County Tax Collector: Current Tax Collector J.R. Kroll is the only candidate running for this position at this time.
  • Seminole County Supervisor of Elections: Brian Beute, current Seminole County School Board member Amy Pennock, and Deborah Poulalion are running for this seat. Currently Supervisor Chris Anderson is not listed as a candidate.
  • Seminole County Sheriff: Current Sheriff Dennis Lemma is the only candidate running for this position at this time.

Oviedo and Winter Springs and Seminole County Commissioners

Oviedo City Council

  • Three Oviedo City Council seats, currently occupied by Bob Pollock, Keith Britton and Jeff Boddiford, will be up for re-election. There are currently no contestants listed on the Supervisor of Elections’ site.  

Winter Springs City Commission

  • The Dist. 5 seat, which is currently occupied by Rob Elliot. Currently Brandon Morrisey is the only candidate running for this seat.
  • The District 3 seat, now occupied by Ted Johnson
  • The District 1 seat, now occupied by Matt Benton

Seminole County Commission 

  • Incumbent County Commissioner Bob Dallari is currently running unopposed for the District 1 seat. 
  • Isaac Abdelmessih is running against incumbent Lee Constantine for the District 3 seat. 
  • Gary Carney is running against incumbent Andria Herr for the District 5 seat.
