Kayla Gayle

Kayla is the managing editor and copy chief of The Charge, UCF’s student-run publication. Kayla also serves as the vice president of UCF’s chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists. She graduated in May 2025 and holds degrees in journalism and political science. Her work has been published in UCF’s student-run magazine Centric, The Charge, The Community Paper and EnVi Media. She hopes to amplify underrepresented voices through journalism.

Kayla enjoys going to local markets, used bookstores and concerts with her friends in her free time.
