Ben Everidge

Ben Everidge is a 66-year-old unaffiliated candidate running for the U.S. Senate. He lives in Ocoee and was a development executive for Bassett Healthcare Network until beginning his campaign in April. He co-owns Cannon & Caius, a consulting practice, with his wife. Everidge told Oviedo Community News that he was a campaign staff member for the U.S. Senate from 1979 to 1988. He was also on the staff for the U.S. House of Representatives.

“[I] worked my first congressional campaign in 1976 when I graduated high school (Cocoa Beach High) and second one in 1978 for Bill Nelson’s first successful run for Congress while attending Brevard Community College (now Eastern Florida State College),” Everidge said via email.

While pursuing his bachelor’s degree from American University, he worked on Capitol Hill as a congressional aide, according to his website. 
He does not have any public endorsements. He filed preliminary financial documents with the Federal Elections Commission on April 25 but so far no further documentation is available. Learn more.

She served as treasurer for the Florida Press Club for seven years and has won awards from the Institute for Nonprofit News, the Florida Press Association and the Society of Professional Journalism. Megan holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the Perley Isaac Reed School of Journalism (now called the Reed College of Media) at West Virginia University.

Megan also loves yoga, running and playing board games with her family.
