OCN Text Line is a new way your independent, nonprofit newsroom is connecting with the community. We know that so many people love our email newsletter but we’ve heard from some folks in the community that their email inboxes are flooded and they don’t want to get their news that way. This is OCN’s effort to be as accessible as possible to the people we serve.
Why am I getting news from other parts of the country with my OCN news roundup?
The service is powered by the Institute for Nonprofit News‘ Rural News Network. OCN is a member of both. Because of this partnership, in addition to OCN news updates, you’ll get several articles from our RNN partners. Members of both INN and RNN adhere to the highest journalistic standards and, like OCN, will never publish biased or partisan news.
