Help welcome Santa to town by attending the Oviedo Mall Tree Lighting Celebration, happening from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18 near the O2B Kids entrance of the Oviedo Mall, 1700 Oviedo Mall Blvd. in Oviedo. There will be kids activities and entertainment. Get more information.

Food trucks take over Center Lake Park for the city’s monthly Food Truck Thursday event from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18 at 299 Center Lake Lane, Oviedo. The food truck lineup is Atlanta Peach Wings, Chameleon Bowls, Rosario’s Kitchen, App’s Food Truck, Jour de Crepe, Asian Bros and The Knot by Rollin Dough. Friday, Nov. 19

Peruse local produce and craft items at the Oviedo Night Market happening from 5-10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19 at Oviedo Brewing Company, 1280 Oviedo Mall Blvd., Oviedo. There’s also ready-to-eat food available. Some vendors include Beer Mutts, Black Hammock Bee Farms, Beatnik and Botany, Brock’s Florida Barbeque, Drunk Chick Craft Sauces, Hedy’s Wood Wonders, JuJu’s Jewels, Oviedo Olive Oil and Second Hand Rose. The Florida Institute for Community Inclusion’s Community Garden Work Day was rescheduled to Saturday, Nov. 20. The event is from 9 a.m. to noon at First United Methodist Church of Oviedo, 263 King Street, Oviedo. The church is seeking volunteers of any age and ability. Get more information or sign up.

Arcade Monsters’ second annual Arcade Olympics runs for 48 hours straight, starting at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19 and ending 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 21 at Arcade Monsters, 15 Alafaya Woods Blvd., Oviedo. More than 30 vendors, a cosplay contest, anime art contest, 10 live musical performances, anime karaoke, guest cosplayers, raffles, and more will be at this event.
