This week, join the Oviedo community for the long awaited Oktoberfest! There will be authentic German beer,  food, live music, entertainment, contests and more. As the week starts, learn more about Florida constitutional amendments as elections come up. And, get ready for a weekend full of workshops, outdoor activities, salsa, and so much more. 

Thursday 

Not sure what Florida constitutional Amendment 3 is or what it does? No worries! Come learn more about it during a buffet lunch at the September Hot Topic Program. There will be a discussion covering the proposed property tax changes in Amendment 3 and how the changes will affect Seminole County residents. The registration fee is just $35 per bowler if paid in advance, or $40 per bowler if you pay on the day of the event, which includes entry, bowling, shoes, a slice of pizza and a soft drink. Join the Oviedo  Run Club for the annual Halloween tradition of the Rising 5K and 10K. The course begins in front of the Historic Sanctuary at First United Methodist Church and follows the Cross Seminole Trail for an out and back distance of either a 5k or 10k.  The Kids’ Fun Run is under a mile, along the beautiful canopied road.
