Food trucks take over Center Lake Park for the city’s monthly Food Truck Thursday event from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27 at 299 Center Lake Lane, Oviedo. The food truck lineup is Atlanta Peach Wings, Chameleon Bowls, Rosario’s Kitchen, App’s Food Truck, Jour de Crepe, Asian Bros and The Knot by Rollin Dough. Black Hammock Adventures and Airboat Rides’ 23rd Anniversary Celebration starts at 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28 at 2356 Black Hammock Road in Oviedo. Their Lazy Gator Bar will serve buy-one-get-one drinks from 5-8 p.m. and there will be a live DJ and live Blues music by Arnaud Temporel. Get more information

Find a furry new friend at the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando Adoption Event at PetSuites Winter Springs, happening from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29 at 1201 S.R. 434 in Winter Springs. There will be a bounce house, food trucks, a professional photographer and vendor samples. Check out the animals for adoption ahead of time here. Get more information

Future events

Live music, more than 60 local vendors selling crafts, plants, and fresh produce and ready-to-eat food will be at the Oviedo Farmers Market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5 at the Lawton House, 200 W. There will be a live reading with meet and greet with children’s author Charlie Griffin during the Oviedo Farmers Market from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5 at the Lawton House, 200 W. Broadway Street in Oviedo. Griffin is a local author who wrote “Indy and Jenny”. Get more information.

The City of Winter Springs’ Father-Daughter Dance is from 7-9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11 at the Winter Springs Senior Center, 400 N. Edgemon Ave. in Winter Springs. Tickets for residents are free and include a live DJ and dancing, a photo by a professional photographer, refreshments and prizes. Tickets for nonresidents cost $10 per couple and $5 for additional children. Get more information

The City of Oviedo’s Father-Daughter Dance is from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12 at the Oviedo Cultural Center, 357 Center Lake Lane, Oviedo. There will be a live DJ and dancing and a dinner and dessert buffet menu by Dominick’s restaurant. Tickets are $40 per couple and $10 for additional children. Get more information.
