Get into the holiday spirit at a Family Paint Party and learn to paint Rudolph from 2:30-4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15 at Songbirds Music, Art, & Dance Center, 181 E. Mitchell Hammock Road in Oviedo. All instruction and materials are included. Tickets cost $15 per artist. Learn more

“O Come, All Ye Faithful” and join the Most Precious Blood Catholic Church for their Family Advent Night event from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 113 Lockwood Blvd. in Oviedo. Dance the night away at the Sunshine Optimist Club dance event sponsored by the Oviedo Fire Department from 7-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16 at the First United Methodist Church of Oviedo, 263 King St. in Oviedo. Try your luck at the Oviedo Woman’s Club Christmas Bingo Night event from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17 at the Oviedo Woman’s Club, 414 King St. in Oviedo. The event will support She Is More Than, a local nonprofit helping to fight against human trafficking. A special prize will also be awarded for the best holiday outfit. Bring the family for the Boy’s Town Central Florida’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Open House starting at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18 at the Boys Town Central Florida campus,  975 Oklahoma Street in Oviedo. Celebrate the first night of Hanukkah at a candle-lighting event from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18 at Green Acres Farm of Oviedo, 1700 Marsh Road in Oviedo. Participants are invited to bring their own menorah and candles or latkes to share if they wish. The event is free but non-perishable food items for the local food pantries are welcomed as contributions. Learn more

Saddle up for the Wild Horse Rescue Center Annual Holiday Trail Ride event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18 starting at 2483 Fawn Run in Oviedo. Visit several homes in the area and enjoy neighborhood stops, offering holiday drinks and treats, a silent auction and an optional Dirty Santa game. The ride is open to horses, wagons, dirt road bicycles, and walkers. Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the ride starts at 11 a.m. The cost is $25 per person. Learn more.
