Enjoy local vendors at the Oviedo Farmers Market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2 at Lawton House, 200 W. Broadway St. After taking a break for the summer, this market will resume taking place every first and third Saturday of the month. Learn more.

Join Central Florida Freethought Community in their Adopt-A-Road Cleanup of Oviedo Boulevard, spanning from Mitchell Hammock Road to Broadway Street, from 9-10:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 3 at Oviedo Dental Arts, 980 Oviedo Blvd, Unit 1000. Children ages 12 and older who are accompanied by a parent or guardian may attend. After the event, volunteers will head to 407 Cafe for brunch. Learn more.

Enjoy rock painting and farm animals from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 3 at Green Acres Farm, 1700 Marsh St. in Oviedo. There is no admission fee but cash donations of $5 per person or donations of non-perishable food items for local school pantries are welcome. Learn more.

Enjoy a night at the theater and see part one of “The Inheritance” from 7-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Sept. 8-9 at Imagine Performing Arts Center, 1220 Oviedo Mall Blvd. The play explores serious questions about sexual identity, and is intended for an adult audience due to mature themes and content. Foster healthy living habits and youth development with Homeschool Physical Education for kids ages 5-17 from 3-4 p.m. every Monday through until Nov. 27 at the YMCA Family Center, 7900 Red Bug Lake Road in Oviedo. One month of classes costs $25 for YMCA members and $50 for non-members. Participants must bring closed-toe shoes. Learn more.

Regal’s Summer Movie Express offers $2 family movies for the first show of the day every Tuesday and Wednesday over the summer at its Oviedo location, 1500 Oviedo Marketplace Blvd. The event runs through Sept. 6. Learn more.

Run through Oviedo’s historic downtown every Tuesday night with Oviedo Run Club. Most folks who attend this casual, social run start the run just before 6 p.m. Participants start in the parking lot of Oviedo’s Historic Celery Pre-cooler, located at 159 N.
