The City of Oviedo is hosting Oktoberfest, a three-day German festival, from 5-9 p.m. Thursday-Friday, Sept. 28-29, and 4-10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30 at Center Lake Park Amphitheater and Cultural Center, 299 Center Lake Lane in Oviedo. Enjoy German food, dancing, beer, and live entertainment, including Orlando Trachtenverein Dancers and King Guys Oktoberfest Brass Band. There will be a Root-Bier garten for kids and face painting. Bowl with the pros at the Third Annual Strike it Big PRO-AM Tournament at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29 at Oviedo Bowling Center, 376 E. Broadway St. Pro bowlers will rotate in pairs while new bowlers will bowl with six pros. Most folks who attend this casual, social run start the run just before 6 p.m. Participants start in the parking lot of Oviedo’s Historic Celery Pre-cooler, located at 159 N.
