Holiday events, sing Christmas carols, and free gift wrapping

There are still plenty of opportunities to see Santa, get your gifts wrapped and catch a movie or two in Greater Oviedo and Winter Springs.

Thursday

Catch a residential light show from dusk until 9:30 p.m. nightly through Jan. 1 at 1009 Cutoff Branch Court in Oviedo. There will be snow on Friday and Saturday nights. The home is located within the Twin Rivers community. Check for updates on the homeowner’s Facebook page.

Bring the kids to see Santa, available daily through Dec. 24, at the Oviedo Mall, 1700 Oviedo Mall Blvd. There are a variety of packages to purchase that include digital and print photos, which cost $39.99-$49.99. Times vary each day. Learn more.

Don’t want to put your excess cardboard from the holidays at the end of your driveway? The City of Oviedo is offering to residents to bring them to City Hall for Recycle for the Claus, from Saturday, Dec. 23 to Friday, Jan. 5 at 400 Alexandria Blvd. There are three big dumpsters, for cardboard only, located behind City Hall. Most folks who attend this casual, social run start the run just before 6 p.m. Participants start in the parking lot of Oviedo’s Historic Celery Pre-cooler, located at 159 N.
