Susan Plasencia 2024

Susan Plasencia is an incumbent Republican currently running for Florida Legislature District 37. In 2022, Plasencia won the election and served her first term in the Florida House of Representatives. With a background in business, Plasencia said she ran for her first term because she was unhappy with then Representative Ardian Zika. Even though Plasencia is affiliated with the Republican party, she says that party affiliation does not matter to her, as she has not endorsed former president Donald Trump, Vice President Kamala Harris or Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

“They [the voters] are my priority,” Plasencia told OCN. “When people call, I help.”

She is endorsed by the political organization Americans for Prosperity, the Fraternal Order of Police, and the local Orange County Firefighters Association chapter.

Across her campaign, Plasencia has raised $151,426.99 and spent $85,568.25, according to Transparency USA

Plasencia did not submit a video or participate in OCN’s candidate Q&A.
