Tuan Nguyen

“TQ” Nguyen is a non-party-affiliated candidate for U.S. Senate and has resided in Florida since 2003. He is a 59-year-old Vietnamese immigrant. As an engineer, he worked for HP and Amdocs, a telecommunications company.

While Nguyen does not have experience in public office, he said that his experience with Boat People SOS, which helps victims of human trafficking in South Asia, has helped him establish connections with Congressional offices. 
Nguyen told Oviedo Community News that he believes partisanship in Congress slows progress and is passionate about securing the border, investing in education and reforming the health care system.

He has not promoted any significant endorsements.

Nguyen has received $12,625 in contributions and spent $15,018.39. He self contributed $9,500 and he did not receive funding from any political action committees. $2,350 of his contributions were from out of state. Learn more.

With the Central Florida Foundation and Central Florida Public Media, she co-found the News Collaborative of Central Florida, a collective of independent local news outlets and aligned partners working toward a more informed and engaged Central Florida.
She served as treasurer for the Florida Press Club for seven years and has won awards from the Institute for Nonprofit News, the Florida Press Association and the Society of Professional Journalism. Megan holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the Perley Isaac Reed School of Journalism (now called the Reed College of Media) at West Virginia University.

Megan also loves yoga, running and playing board games with her family.
