Oviedo Masonic Lodge 243 Annual Installation

Oviedo Masonic Lodge 243 Annual Installation

On Saturday, Jan.10, 2026, the brethren of Oviedo Masonic Lodge No. 243 gathered in a spirit of fellowship, brotherhood and tradition to install their new officers during a ceremony open to the public. With proud family members and friends filling the lodge room, the evening reflected the deep community roots of Freemasonry in Oviedo. Distinguished members of the Grand Lodge of Florida were present and participated in the installation, underscoring the importance of the occasion. Worshipful Ralph Ramos, III was installed as Worshipful Master and will lead the lodge in the coming year, joined by Brother Steven Duda as Senior Warden; Brother Philip Castanon Jr. as Junior Warden; Worshipful Charles Shirey, Treasurer; Brother Michael Macaluso as Chaplain; Brother Michael Straton as Secretary; Brother Everton Wyatt as Senior Deacon; Brother Mitchell Stratton as Junior Deacon; Brother Rod Dewell as Musician; Brother Richard Connell as Tyler; Brother Clayton Rasberry as Senior Steward; Brother Seth Jansen as Junior Steward; and Brother David Semersky as Marshal.

The installation ceremony highlighted not only the continuity of Masonic tradition, but also the fraternity’s enduring commitment to strengthening families and enriching the broader community. Freemasonry has long been dedicated to the principle of “making good men better,” encouraging members to practice integrity, charity, and service in their daily lives. Through charitable outreach, mentorship, and civic involvement, the lodge’s members quietly contribute to the well-being of Oviedo and surrounding areas. The strong attendance of spouses, children, and extended family served as a visible reminder that the values taught within the lodge—brotherly love, relief, and truth—extend far beyond its walls, shaping leaders, supporting neighbors, and fostering a spirit of unity that benefits the entire community.
