Seminole’s Save A Life Seminole program

Casselberry Elementary is a proud Title I School in Seminole County Public Schools, and we are preparing for our annual Fun Run fundraiser, the Bamboo Bolt! Last year, our students and families raised an incredible $28,000, and this year we are hoping to reach $30,000. The Bamboo Bolt is run entirely through community support and volunteers, meaning 100% of the funds raised go directly back to our school and classrooms.
To help make this event exciting and rewarding for our students, we are seeking donations of prizes, gift cards, experiences, tickets, merchandise, or other giveaways that can be used as incentives throughout the fundraiser. These donations help motivate students, increase participation, and create a fun experience for all.
Your support would have a direct impact on our students and school community. In appreciation of your generosity, we will proudly recognize and promote your business or organization to our school families, highlighting the wonderful community partners who help make events like this possible.

Oviedo native Brandon New, an undergraduate student at the University of Florida, is the first winner of the Dorothy L. Hukill Scholarship with The Fund for American Studies (TFAS). Brandon, a graduate of Oviedo High School, attended the TFAS program in Washington, D.C. this summer.

Just days before students return to the classroom, Addition Financial Credit Union and the Addition Financial Foundation are celebrating the completion of its 2026 Renovate to Educate initiative by unveiling newly transformed needs spaces at five public schools across Central Florida, including a food and clothing pantry at Seminole High School’s 9th grade center.
