Three Winter Springs High School students were among the 20 Central Florida students selected to participate in EA Orlando’s 2026 Get in the Game STEAM Camp.
ORLANDO, Fla. (July 28, 2026) – Three Winter Springs High School students were among the 20 Central Florida students selected to participate in Electronic Arts’ (EA) 2026 Get in the Game STEAM Camp, a free program that introduces students to careers in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM).
Rising seniors Maryam Zia and Parth Kulshreshtha, along with rising junior Ethan Guan, were chosen from a competitive applicant pool of more than 100 students representing over 30 Central Florida schools.
Hosted July 17-24 at EA’s studio in downtown Orlando’s Creative Village, the weeklong camp gave students hands-on experience with coding, game development and mentorship from the professionals behind EA SPORTS College Football and Madden NFL.
Throughout the program, students participated in coding lessons led by Ron Weaver, technical design director at the Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy (FIEA) at the University of Central Florida, while working alongside EA employees to explore careers in the video game industry. The camp concluded with a showcase of student-developed games, and each participant received a laptop preloaded with the software used during the program to continue building their skills.
Since launching in 2018, Get in the Game has become a pipeline for local talent, with several alumni earning internships and full-time positions at EA.
